Meraki
Meraki is often used to describe what happens when you leave a piece of yourself (your soul, creativity, or love) in your work. When you love doing something, anything, so much that you put something of yourself into it.
This project was to show young artists who suffer with depression that they are not alone, by using other artists as role models. The three artists chosen were Brandi Carlile, Dan Reynolds, and Damien Rice. They chose to fight their depression, and have it fuel their creativity. By showing that even though they are depressed they can take that and make something beautiful out of it. Showing the target audience of young artists that they can do the same, because if you can take something as horrible as depression and create beauty from it, it gives them some hope.
